3.5 Gauge Model Railway Coaches to match HORNBY G104 Stephensons ROCKET train

This listing is for a pair of Hornby Liverpool Manchester railway carriages, produced to complement Hornbys 3.5 gauge live steam model of Stephensons Rocket locomotive and train set. The coaches are much rarer. The few that remain have been discovered, and eagerly sought after, by garden railway enthusiasts who find that, with a simple wheel change, they make ideal models of narrow gauge prototypes to run on G scale tracks. I bought the coaches to make up a display model with the Rocket locomotive (see picture). They are in as new condition, bar a little dust in the crevices from their exhibition days. I was reluctant to be over aggressive when cleaning them. The coaches make impressive models in their own right, beautifully moulded in hard plastic, with metal wheels and couplings. They have interior seating, and opening doors with locking handles, and glazing. Excluding the couplings, they measure 30 x 13 x 20 cms. The coaches came with a sheet of water slide transfers giving a choice of four names. I have applied two of the names to my display models, but have kept the half used sheet, plus one full sheet, The backing sheets are wrinkled from storage, but the transfers should be perfectly useable? Being water slide my names should be easily removed with a damp cloth, and the names can be changed to suit your requirements. Used for many years as a display model – although in very good cosmetic condition it will require cleaning. To become operational it will require a full service. NOT SUITABLE for children as a live steam model or adults who behave like children. The age of the plastic fuel tank means it no longer can withstand the fuel pressure and must be replaced with a new brass fuel tank (available on the internet). Vintage Hornby rare Stephenson rocket Working model and spares. I’m no expert no idea how to rest his I’m being honest. But I bought it in a huge train lot at Chiswick auctions and they don’t sell junk and the rest of the gear I bought came from a collector who worked for Hornby. Wheels move Pistons move gears move and there looks to be spares for another one which has been partially started…. This could end up being two rockets… Judge by yourself if your here you know more than me open to talk and comms with someone… All gear is in great condition looks like two or three unbuilt trains altogether.. I’ve looked at all part they seem well cared for and stored no junk of broken pieces… This seems a fully working ready to go model with enough spares to make another and still have spares just in case either breaks down… Plus a whole bag of track too in my picture I’ve added a shot of a bag for life full of track pieces… For any train collector out there this could be the bargain of the year.
